Based on latest figures, the population of people aged 100 and above in the UK has doubled from 8,300 in 2004 to 16,600 in 2024.
From 2004 and 2024, the figure of men aged 100 or over has increased threefold from 910 to 3,100. Over the same years, the count of women aged 100 or over almost doubled from 7,400 to 13,600.
We are eager to listen to individuals who have reached 100, their loved ones or companions, about what it has been like to bear witness to the past century’s transformative changes and changes.
